This is a customer service focused position that requires the individual to work independently as well as part of a team. The primary accountability for this role is to ensure that the physical security systems (access control, duress, video, and maglocks) are functioning properly and maintained accordingly in accordance with Trillium Health Partners.
General Duties:Familiarity with all good industry practiceDevelop, implement and maintain physical security policies and procedures that will reduce, manage and/or eliminate risk factors effecting patients, visitors, employees and assetsAbility to perform periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with Security policies and guidelinesPerform security auditsEnsure all contractual obligations related physical security are met according to service agreementsEnsure integrity of physical security systemsLead Security representative for all projects related to physical security (i.e. redevelopment, department issues, etc.)Work closely with Security CoordinatorsRequired to travel between all THP sites & other THP off site locations as neededProvide on call support as neededTrouble shooting systems related issuesInvestigate day to day occurrences at THPProject Management
Skills & ExpirenceProject Management experienceA security related program (Justice Studies, Police Foundations, Law & Security Administration) and/ orAn Information technology related program and/ orPhysical Security Professional (PSP) credentialing from ASIS3 to 5 years related physical security experienceAbility to read and interpret documents such as construction schematics, operating and procedure manuals.Familiarity with industry trends and standardsDemonstrate uncompromising commitment to integrityMember of relevant associationsKnowledge of physical security systemsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsCCNA Certification – CCNA Security/CCNA Routing & SwitchingGenetec Security Center 5.x Omnicast (Video) Technical CertificationGenetec Security Center 5.x Synergis (Access Control) Technical Certification
Qualifications:University Degree or college diploma preferably. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Ability to relate business requirements and risks to technology implementation for security related issuesBroad understanding of security technologyHave familiarity with security administration tools, security scanning tools, web application technologies, technical security implementations, access controls, physical security controls and administration.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/Power-Point and common software tools to create reportsWell-developed organizational, analytic, situation assessment, problem solving and decision making abilitiesDemonstrated understanding and ability to deliver excellent customer serviceExcellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to write clear and concise reports and make presentationsFamiliarity with the ELPAS wandercare system
