Hotel Receptionist Needed in Ireland

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced reservation agent to join our Front desk team here at The House Hotel. Working with the Front Office & Sales Team to deliver excellent guest care.

  • Greets guests over the phone in a friendly, welcoming and courteous manner
  • Records reservation information accurately onto Hotsoft or Opentable
  • Identifies and records group and transient business codes
  • Records and processes deposit information
  • Records special billing instructions, approves credit after consultation with the General Manager
  • Records requests for special accommodation
  • Files all reservations in a systematic order for easy referral
  • Identifies commissionable reservations and secures required information
  • Informs other departments of VIP arrivals
  • Contributes to maximum occupancy and average rate by utilizing yield management
  • Maximize’s customer satisfaction and hotel revenue by promoting hotel restaurant / bar and other services and facilities to guests
  • Work varying shifts including morning, afternoons and evenings, 5 days per week;
  • To manage our channel manager system on a daily basis to ensure rates and inventory are up to date
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • To liaise with departments throughout the Hotel as required.


The ideal candidate for this position

  • 1 years’ experience in a similar role essential
  • Excellent customer care and communications skills
  • Excellent command of the English language both written and oral is essential
  • Be component to work on your own initiative and to cope well under pressure
  • Highly motivated
  • Advanced computer skills an advantage
